KATE LASS

Kate's experience in stage combat began in college, where she was fortunate to be part of the first graduating class offering a minor in stage combat. But she has only continued her training since then. Over the past decade, Kate has attended workshops and masterclasses with professionals around the country, assisted in certification classes, and taught classes of her own. Her choreography has been seen at theaters around the Chicago area, as well as in her hometown of Nashville, TN. Kate is a Certified Teacher with the ILFDC, an Advanced Actor Combatant with the SAFD and an Associate Members of SDC. Kate is extremely passionate about more people having more stage combat training in order to elevate the quality of storytelling in the theatre we do, and in order to keep those storytellers safe. Her training company, Strike & Reason, works toward that very goal.
